Here are the nominees for the Hernando County baseball player of the week. Voting lasts until 9 a.m. Friday. 

P/OF/1B Korbin Baskind, Fr., Central: Went 3-for-4 with three RBIs and a run scored in a win over Citrus in the Class 4A, District 5 semifinals. 

OF Dominic Gattinella, Sr., Nature Coast: Ended up going 2-for-5 with a homer, five RBIs and two runs scored in a win over Hudson in the Class 4A, District 6 championship game. 

1B/P Ty Grover, Jr., Springstead: Went 2-for-4 with two RBIs and a run scored in a win over Fivay in the Class 5A, District 5 semifinals. 

1B/P Ethan Higgins, Jr., Hernando Christian: Had a double, a homer, four RBIs and a run scored in win over First Academy in the Class 2A, District 5 semifinals. 

P/OF Michael Savarese, Jr., Hernando: Threw a one-hit shutout with 15 strikeouts to lead the Leopards to a win over Central in the Class 4A, District 5 final.
