What to watch tonight

Keswick Christian (7-3) at Shorecrest (5-3), 6

After an 0-3 start, the Crusaders have won seven straight matches. That streak will be put to the test against the host Chargers, who  are undefeated against Pinellas County foes.

Berkeley Prep (6-2) at Carrollwood Day (12-1), 6:30

The host Patriots have not even dropped a set against an area opponent this season. The Buccaneers, meanwhile, have quality wins against Plant and Clearwater Central Catholic this season. 

East Lake (5-2) at Calvary Christian (11-1), 6:30

The Eagles are coming off a strong showing at the Florida Gem Invitational. The host Warriors, currently the top seed in the brutally tough Class 3A, Region 3 after the initial FHSAA power rankings, are 5-0 against area teams. 

Venice (8-2) at Clearwater Central Catholic (5-3), 7

A premier matchup between a pair of defending state champions. The Indians, who won the 7A title last season, have won three straight matches. The host Marauders, the 3A champs from a year ago, are coming off a sixth place finish at the LIVT tournament in Louisville this past weekend. 

Indian Rocks Christian (5-3) at St. Petersburg Catholic (4-1), 7

The Golden Eagles, winners of two straight matches, have some momentum going to tonight’s private school matchup. But it will be tough considering the Barons are undefeated at home (2-0). 

Strawberry Crest (4-3) at Bloomingdale (5-0), 7:30

The undefeated Bulls have the top seed in Class 6A, Region 3 in the FHSAA’’s initial power rankings. The Chargers, who started 3-0, are trying to bounce back after losing three of their last four matches.
