Boys basketball: Hillsborough County player of the week — Jan. 2-6, 2023

Here are the nominees for the Hillsborough County boys basketball player of the week. Voting lasts until 9 a.m. Wednesday. 

Isaiah Campbell-Finch, Jr., Tampa Catholic: Named to the all-tournament team and eclipsed the 1,000-point career mark at the Tampa SLAM Hoopfest. 

Derek Delgardo, Sr., Leto: Recorded a double-double (25 points, 16 rebounds) in a win over Wiregrass Ranch at the Ulrich Classic. 

Evan Hellman, Sr., Berkeley Prep: Had 18 points in an overtime win over Sumner at the Ulrich Classic. 

Jace Jreiset, Sr., Bayshore Christian: Scored a team-high 23 points, including 6-of-8 on free throws, in a win over Jefferson. 

Ian Kyler, Jr., Sickles: Averaged 19. 3 points per game, including hitting a combined 17 3-pointers, to help the Gryphons go 2-1 at the Dunedin Holiday Tournament. 

Jordan Mickens, Robinson: Named to the all-tournament team at the Ninth Annual Greg O’Connell Shootout. 

Ramone Seals, Sr., Tampa SLAM: Named to the all-tournament team after leading the Spartans to a third-place finish at the Tampa SLAM Hoopfest. 

Gavin Tinsley, Jr., Plant City: Scored a team-high 20 points in a win over Land O’ Lakes at the Ulrich Classic. 

Karsten Walker, Jr., Sumner: Ended up with a team-high 20 points and had four rebounds in a win over Northeast for the Red Bracket title at the Dunedin Holiday Tournament.
